The Intercontinental Hotel Berlin is the perfect spot to take in the sites of this magnificent city.
It is a short walk away from Berlin Zoo, Tiergarten Park and a lovely walk among the river to Brandenburg Gate, as well as being close to the sightseeing bus tour stops and the underground, so easy access to all of the city.
With a spacious and light front lobby and extremely welcoming and helpful staff. It is a great place for short breaks, family holidays or a bit of business.
The bedrooms are a good size with all of the necessary amenities and an extremely spacious ensuite bathroom.
Relax by the pool, take a dip in the jacuzzi or enjoy a treatment in the spa.
There is also a fully fitted gym, but expect to get hot as there doesn’t seem to be much air on in there!!
The LA Cafe serves an array of treats for breakfast, from fruits and cereals, to freshly made omelettes and pancakes. Or if you really fancy a twist dim sum and fish soup!
The Marlene Bar on the lobby floor is beautifully light, serving a simple menu and serving a range of drinks.
There is also Hugo’s a Michelin started restaurant with views over the city. Unfortunately this was closed during our stay. Otherwise we most certainly would have enjoyed s meal here.
If you don’t fancy something inside the hotel Speak with the concierge, who was beyond helpful and knowledgable about the places to eat in the local area from Vietnamese, German, Greek, Lebanese the list goes on.
You will not go hungry!!
Wheelchair Access – 5 out of 5
The hotel was spacious and very accessible. Easy access to all sites by push, taxi, bus tour or train.
The bedrooms are a good size with en-suite wet room with bars around the toilets and roll in shower with bench and bars.
Only the upper part of the pool area accessible to some of the loungers and there were steps down to the pool area which meant going for a swim a bit tricky.
But overall this was a great hotel to stay in and perfect for our short break to Berlin
A great accessible hotel in a fantastic location, if I were to come to Berlin again i would definitely return here.
