During times of challenge we can feel worry, anxiety, stress.
Our breathing can shorten, breathing from our chest rather than deeper into our belly.
Our mind can become foggy, filled with fear & listening to our monkey mind working overtime.
To quieten the monkey, calm our mind, empower our body & connect back to self we must take a moment & take a breath.
A long deep calming breath in through the nose, inhaling into the depths of our stomach & exhaling through the mouth, can bring us back to self & the present moment.
Just breathe, go on right now, take a deep breath, allow it to bring you back to this moment.
Take the time throughout your day to notice your breath…inhale…..exhale. It will bring you into the present moment, it will calm your mind, oxygenate your body, providing you with calm, clarity, peace, even giving you a little surge of energy.
Tich Nhat Hanh a Buddhist Monk says “when you breath in & aware that you are alive, you can touch the miracle of being alive.”
We are bigger than our thoughts, our fears, ours worries & anxieties, breathing into the present moment can clear the thoughts, enlighten us & connect is back to self.
