We can all feel sluggish, a lack of motivation to get up &!move our body. But it is so important for our physical, mental & emotional health. Moving our body each day is fundamental to who we are.
I think during lockdown & only having been given an hour a day to get outside, a lot of people have gained a new respect for movement. A walk with the family, a run through the countryside, a push around the village, Had made us get up & move.
I have ended up moving everyday, if not 2 or 3 times a day, Qigong, Yoga, Pushing laps, HIIT classes, Body Strengthening, there has been so many new ways I have been moving my body & I have only seen benefits in the strengthening & toning of my physical body & ore happiness & empowerment in my notional & mental state.
Choose something that connects you to joy & meaning rather than something you feel you have to do rather than want too. If you don’t enjoy the exercise or activity you will be setting yourself up to fail.
It’s about finding an exercise or an activity that fills you up & makes you feel more connected & engaged with life.
Movement helps us be the best version of ourselves, it can enable great connection & support with others through team sports & group classes.
Movement doesn’t only strengthen & energise our Body it supports better mental health, giving us balance in all areas of life.
Movement can & will create a bigger than self experience, it is a fundamental part of being human & movement as medicine will only benefit your health & wellbeing.
